Haven't posted lately...been working on portraits every opportunity I get. Trying to learn how to get good lifelike portraits so I have been practicing. This is the most recent I just finished for WC's WDE.
I love the reference photo of this tiger cub that I got from the WC Reference Library. I tried it several times in watercolor like the last one posted. This time I decided to try it on scratchboard. This is my first try using scratchboard. I like the black background...makes the tiger stand out.
I haven't posted here in a long time. I have been interested in painting animals lately. Trying different mediums but seem to go back to watercolor quite often. I just painted this tiger cub. I love animals of all kinds.
Wildlife is among my many interests. Blue Herons though a pretty bird with their coloring and top knot can also be a nuisance if you have a ornamental fish pond. They would rather eat these containerized colorful fish than try to catch fish in the wild it seems. This is a Blue Heron in his natural habitat in pastel.
Hello, I am Linda Vaughn and enjoy painting as a hobby. My interests and types of mediums has changed greatly over time. I started in oils but now my favorites are watercolor and pastel.
